Call for Proposals
Introduction
The Pathways to Equity Conference is an opportunity for the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office to facilitate professional development and technical assistance to help colleges implement the Vision 2030 goals of: Equity in Success, Equity in Access, Equity in Support campus-wide. Vision 2030 advances the California Community Colleges’ work in improving student outcomes while focusing on key strategic areas:
People — Active partnership with relevant stakeholders to help guide practice and provide data, technical assistance and needed supports.
Systems — Systems development to remove barriers at scale.
Resources — Reimagine and maximize local resources.
Policy — Identify and advance local district policy reform across state to unlock potential.
We are looking for presentation proposals relevant to the tracks listed below, which align with the goals and outcomes for Vision 2030.
Primary Audience: The primary audience for these presentations will be community college administrators, classified professionals and faculty members throughout the community college system.
TRACK 1 - Vision 2030 Goal: Equity in Success
These presentations will focus on strategies, programs and practices that have made a positive impact on student success.
TRACK 2 - Vision 2030 Goal: Equity in Access
These presentations will focus on strategies, programs and practices that have successfully supported students in their access to a college education at a community college.
TRACK 3- Vision 2030 Goal: Equity in Support
These presentations will focus on strategies, programs and practices that have successfully provided support to students during their time at a community college.
TRACK 4 – Equity in the Future of Learning
These presentations will focus on practices and strategies that provide equity in the future of learning and help support the strategic directions for Vision 2030, which involves topics such as Climate Action, Generative AI, High Tech/High Touch, etc.

Conference Timeline
Presentation proposals are due by January 15, 2024.
Proposal notifications will be sent to speakers by the end of January 2024.

Conference Topics Interest Survey
We want to offer topics that are of most interest to you to help support the equity goals and work at your college. If you would like to share your level of interest on the various presentation tracks and topics for the Pathways to Equity Conference, please click the following link to complete a two-question interest survey. Within the survey, there is also an option to share your suggestions on tracks we may have missed that interests you or areas where your college would like more assistance. Responses received from the Conference Topics Interest Survey will help guide us in the presentation proposal selection process.
